Job Description

Software Automation Tester:  Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems.  Improve operations by conducting systems analysis and recommending changes in policies and procedures.  Participate in providing work effort estimation and project risks to the project manager on respective projects.  Contribute to test automation scripting standards, best practices, and participate in peer reviews.  Create, test and report defects in tools like JIRA or similar IDE development tools.  Develop test automation scripts using Selenium Webdriver, JUnit, TestNG or similar tools.  Develop testing programs that address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests, or usability.  Develop, implement and maintain quality and test procedures, processes and best practices for Quality Assurance.  Mentor and direct other testers in automation principles.  Document software defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to software developers.  Identify, analyze, and document problems with program function, output, online screen, or content.  Identify problems and collect relevant information for analysis; apply tools and logic to diagnose and develop theories on possible causes; look for root causes.  Write in a concise and precise form appropriate for technical documentation; create clearly-written, organized documents and correspondence.  Reviews test results and directs further development to dev teams.  Provide training on respective system or technology solutions to business partners. Must be willing to travel & reloc to unanticipated client locs throughout the US. Reqs BS in comp sci or related field w/2 yrs exp.
